In the 25 years that I played bass guitar in bands, I managed somehow to excel to bands of notoriety.  So here goes, cut to the chase…..,‘82-‘86 I played for the Binghamton, NY based band, “ACTS”; a very polished, very professional regional band.  Everywhere we played was packed.  I consider it my college band because it really honed my stage and playing charisma.  “Acts” recorded and toured the entire East Coast, consistently.  I miss that band, but it immediately led me to hook up with Kim Simmonds, AKA, “Savoy Brown”.  At this time, 1986, Kim was playing with some hard rock musicians (very good ones), under the heading “KSB”.   The band was doomed before I joined.  No one in particular’s fault, but generally, everyone was disinterested.  However, I managed, as always to find degrees of enjoyment in it.  Parting ways I ventured to the New England State of Vermont.  I started a band called “The Law”, and played every major and non-major club and piss hole from Brattleboro to Nova Scotia to Newfoundland for about a year and a half.  Was a good band, but I was tired of the grind.

Found myself back in NY when my agent called and said that “Foghat” may need a bass player.  It was amazing the stones he could turn.  I miss him too.  I said, “Of course, I would love to try that out”.  The audition was in Boston, December, ’87.  Basically beat out 30 bass players and got the gig.  That’s how I met my mate, Roger Earl.  A class act.  Roger and I got along very well.  Every show was euphoric.  I traveled every state several times, including Alaska and Hawaii.  Headlined so many concerts I can’t remember, but I do have videotapes.  All good things come to an end.

Fell in love with a woman and the place while playing with Foghat in Lake Tahoe, NV/CA.  Coincidentally rejoined Savoy Brown and left on a European tour.  It was incredible.  When we got back from Europe, we left for Hawaii and then a mainland tour.  Was a lot of fun, as always, but, it too, came to an end.   It was at this time I moved to Lake Tahoe.  While soaking up sun one day, Roger Earl called and asked, “Could I come back to Foghat”?  Pretty strange!  Joined “Foghat” again for an Alaskan Continental tour.  This time with Carlos Santana in Salt Lake City, UT, and 80,000 people.  You’d have to see it to believe it.

Time marched on. … back in Tahoe. … “Foghat’s” old tour manager calls and asks if I would be interested in playing with the band, “The Outlaws”, because at this time he was their tour manager.  Off to Florida I went.  Tampa to be exact.  Two days of rehearsal and the next thing I know, three years and three albums went by.   The Outlaws disbanded in ’96 so my family and I moved home.

Currently, I am recording a second CD with guitarist David “Rock” Feinstein.  A most flattering position for myself as Dave has played and been the main songwriter for 1970’s boogie-rock band “Elf” (New York legends with international claim), with legendary singer, Ronnie James Dio.  In 1980, Dave fronted the band, “The Rods”.  They were very good.  Things are going very well with that project.

As for myself, I enjoy playing live with my club band, “The Cats” and we will enter the studio in October to record a project under a different name.  Seeing that we would probably run into legal problems with the name we have.  As for the name of the new project, you’ll have to wait and see….hmmmmmm.
